When Sex Education actress and advocate Aimee Lou Wood approached Everpress to create a charity t-shirt for Kennedy Street Recovery, her family's addiction recovery charity, they brought me in to design it.
The brief centred on a Japanese proverb: "Fall down seven times, stand up eight." A phrase about resilience, hope, and refusing to give up, and values that sit at the heart of what Kennedy Street Recovery does.
My role was to translate that message into a wearable, meaningful piece of graphic design that honoured the cause without being heavy-handed.
